About
Mark Richey
Managing Director/Founder
Mark is an experienced technologist, executive, founder, and private equity investor. He is founder/Managing Director of West Capital Advisors, a corporate innovation and venture investment advisory firm and West Capital Partners, a venture investment vehicle for family offices. He recently served as BioEnterprise Vice President, Corporate Engagement and Venture Partner, Medical Growth Fund and led development of multi-corporate collaborative initiatives to address systemic health care issues (Opioid Crisis, Physician Burnout, Revenue Cycle Management). He also served as a Managing Director at Draper Triangle Ventures, an early stage venture fund.
Mark has operationally been involved in many entrepreneurial ventures. He was Founder/CEO Synchrony Communications in 1997 raising $38 million in funding from leading VCs, including Charles River Ventures, APAX Partners and GE Equity. In prior years he served in management roles with a series of venture backed Silicon Valley companies, including Gain Technology (sold to Sybase), Siebel Systems (IPO), and Genesys Telecommunications (IPO). After graduate school he worked in management consulting with Theodore Barry & Associates (Los Angeles). Mark began his career as a software engineer with Cincom Systems (Cincinnati).
Mark co-founded the Cincinnati Consumer Summit (merged with Brandemonium), an invite-only event bringing together leading innovators, investors and corporate executives to review real world case studies and debate the future of consumer engagement.
Mark currently serves on 4Moms Board of Directors and as an observer on the Boards of ShareThis and LabelInsight, an Advisory Board member for VitalXchange, Valhalla Health and Renalis and is an Advisory Council member for the GreenLight Foundation | Cincinnati.
Mark holds an M.B.A. from The Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University and a BS Systems Analysis from Miami University.
Madeleine Ludlow
Managing Director
Madeleine is a senior executive with over 30 years experience. She has co-founded a company, served as chief executive of a high growth start up, served as a senior officer of a Fortune 200 company and has vast experience in investment banking. During her career, she has been actively involved in numerous M&A transactions and private placements, serving as principal and as agent.
Most recently, Madeleine was Founder and Principal of LudlowWard Capital Partners, serving privately-held middle market companies in a wide variety of financial services. She also served as Chairman and CEO of Cadence Networks, Inc., a privately-held, venture backed energy management company. Prior to joining Cadence, Madeleine was Vice President and Chief Financial officer of Cinergy Corp, a public utility in Cincinnati. She also served as VP of Enterprise Corporate Development at PSEG and spent nine years as a Principal in the investment banking department of Morgan Stanley.
Madeleine holds an M.B.A. from The Darden School, University of Virginia and as well as a BA from the University of Virginia. She currently serves on the Board of ALLETE, Inc. (NYSE:ALE), is on the Advisory Board, H Ventures, is a former member of the Board of Trustees of the Darden Foundation at the University of Virginia and former member of the Board of Trustees of Cincinnati Country Day School.
